Located in Point Cook, Alamanda K-9 College offers an innovative learning environment for over 3350 students. To support this vision, Alamanda has integrated technology into its curriculum through the introduction of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program in partnership with JB Hi-Fi Education.

The success factors of Alamanda’s BYOD Program:

• One dedicated portal: Parents can easily view, assess, and purchase a device that meets Alamanda’s technical specifications.
• Tech Care+ solution: Parents have the option to purchase Tech Care+, a device protection service that allows students to replace or refresh their device over a three-year plan term. The service ensures that, in the event of an unexpected technical difficulty, students can quickly return to their studies, giving parents and school staff peace of mind.
• Flexible delivery options: Parents can choose to have the device delivered to the school campus, at home, or collect in person at their most convenient JB Hi-Fi store.
• Parents information event: Alamanda hosts an annual information event for parents. The evening information event highlights the advantages of the BYOD program, from the product selection process to order placement and a summary of device protection services like Tech Care+.
• Repairs and troubleshooting: Alamanda’s IT team oversee the device enrolment of students’ laptops and tablets ensuring these devices are configured correctly from day 1. The team also facilitates repairs and troubleshooting, minimising device downtime, easing the burden on parents.
